Dupe VS DON’T: Wet’n’Wild Photofinish Eye shadow Primer vs Urban Decay Potion
Primer is such an essential part of every makeup look. Today, we’re doing a battle of Wet’n’Wild primer VS Urban Decay potion! Here I have a purple swatch from a palette that I purchased from Naked cosmetics. In the middle, I have Wet n Wild’s photofocus eyeshadow primer ($3) and Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion Travel size ($12) on the right side. As you can see, the Urban Decay primer is darker than the Wet n Wild.
In this picture, I have all three swatches. On the left, the eyeshadow has no primer on. In the middle, Wet’n’Wild photofocus. On the right, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion. As you can see the Urban Decay swatch is darker compared to the other two swatches. The swatch that has no primer is the lightest!
Think you don’t need eyeshadow primer? Think again! In these two pictures, I have used Garnier Micellar water one time to remove the eyeshadow. The swatch with no primer is basically gone! The Urban Decay swatch is patchy, but also doesn’t have much color left. However, the Wet’N’Wild swatch has a decent amount of color left and isn’t patchy like the Urban Decay swatch is.
Taking off my swatches
After scrubbing at my hand for a bit, Wet’n’Wild PULLED THROUGH. The Urban Decay swatch is basically gone! However, I still have tons of pigment left on my hand from the Wet’n’Wild swatch. The winner is the Wet’n’Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer! I was honestly so surprised about this, because everyone raves about the Urban Decay potion. I was so excited to use it, but now that i know that Wet’N’Wild works better, I’m going to be saving a whole lot of money.
Scrubbing away at my swatches
SO, here you have it girls. The end summary of this versus is a whoping DON’T. Save yourself those extra bucks and go for the Wet’n’Wild!
