Drugstore Mini Review: Wet’n’Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Crown of my Canopy

Highlighter that’s quality isn’t always the easiest to come by, but Wet’n’Wild did their job here!

Want to try out the new Wet’N’Wild mega glow highlighter? I’ve swatched Crown of my Canopy! The top picture is my swatch with no flash. Bottom picture is swatch with flash! I purchased the Mega glo from Walmart for $5.

I like the packaging! It really feels sturdy and I’ve dropped these highlighters on the floor a few times and I haven’t had any problems with them breaking. This is always a great thing!

Personally, I’m not very impressed with the glow. I wouldn’t call this highlighter “mega glow”. Instead, I would call it “medicore glo”. My Elf highlighter in Moonlight Pearls is $2 cheaper and gives me WAY more glow.

I also didn’t like how difficult this powder was to blend into my skin. I applied the powder and literally had coral streaks on my skin, which isn’t the cutest look. I personally think that Crown of my Canopy would be better for darker skin tones; as someone who has light skin, this product really stuck out on my skin. Don’t take me wrong, I really love colored highlighters! However, this shade was a bit too dark for my skin, which is why I don’t always reach for it when doing my makeup.

On the bright side, this powder is super pigmented. I would love to try using this highlighter as an eyeshadow and see how that works out.

What do you think of Crown of my Canopy? I only tried one other highlighter from the mega go line, but this one is the shade that I like better.
