Skin care routines aren’t easy to figure out, because each and every single one of us has different concerns when it comes to our skin. There are so many things that really effect our skin; our stress levels, diet, exercise, amount of water we drink, our enviornment, how often we change our sheets, what we wash our face with, how often we wash our face. . . the list could go on for a while. So, how do you create a skin care routine that works for you?
What are the problems that your skin presents to you? Dry or oily skin? Acne prone and large pores? Dark marks or wrinkles? Dull skin? You have to make a list of problems that your skin has. For example, my skin:
- Acne prone
- Has dark spots
- Fine lines
- Large pores
- Uneven skin tone
- Is a little dull
Now that I have a list of all of the problems that my skin has, I can make a solution on how to start working towards amazing skin! If you have dry skin, you’re not going to want to use products that are meant for oily skin. If you’re not worried about dark spots but want to work on fine lines, don’t use a product that works on removing dark spots.
My skin care routine
Above, I have listed all of the skin care problems I have. The products I have listed down below are what I use on my face every night, to help combat all of the problems that I have with my skin.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is a product that I will continue to use for the rest of my life. This cleanser takes off my makeup and really gets into my pores, leaving my skin nice and clean feeling. I use this cleanser to clean my face in the morning, after work outs, and before I go to bed. It’s so inexpensive, as a whole bottle lasts me a month and I would have to spend like $20 in makeup wipes a MONTH that did a sub-par job of cleaning my face.
Little Pearl Cosmetic’s skin brightening and acne fighting sugar scrub is something I use every night. Ever since I’ve started using this scrub, I’ve noticed a reduction in my cystic acne and my skin has more life into it- my skin doesn’t look dead and dull as it did before I started using this scrub.
Using this toner has helped to really cut back on the oilyness of my skin, as well as the amount of acne I have. I use this to do an all-around fight against a break out.
I use this tea tree oil spot treatment for when I have a cystic acne break out. I really like using this on my t-zone when I’m super oily, as it helps to reduce the size of my pores and how oily my skin is, as well as fighting against my acne.
The Drunk Elephant is one of my favorite skin care companies, because I feel like a lot of their products just work really well. I use the refining serum to life all the dead pores off of my skin. Seriously, this stuff works miracles. My skin is brighter, clearer, and glowier. I use the green serum if I feel if my skin is super-dry, normally in the winter.
Coconut oil is a great way to moisturize your skin, partly because it’s natural. Coconut oil helps to fade stretch marks, fade dark spots, moisturize your skin, and fade fine lines! What more could you want?
