Plus Size Dreams- Casual Polka Dot Cardigan Spring Outfit
I’m a plus size gal on a college budget; in other words, I’m an average size American woman who’s got little to no money to spend on extra things.
But, when I do have an extra $20, I imagine all of the different ways that I could spend it. And trust me, I can think of a lot of different ways.
Last year, I really got into thrifting. At first, I was only going thrifting in order to resell products. But, as I went through all of the clothing selection that stores like Goodwill have, I realized that I was missing out.
The most expensive part of this outfit was my jeans. Every single item in this outfit cost me less than $10 individually.
I purchased my cardigan from Goodwill. It’s actually a button up dress from Old Navy. I loved the length of the dress, but it was too sheer for me to wear as a dress. I’m totally in love it as a cardigan, because it’s lightweight and breathable! I purchased this dress from Goodwill for $4.
The top I purchased from 599fashion, which is a site I would highly recommend it you’re on the hunt for cute tops that are affordable! I purchased the top (which is a tank top) for $2.99.
As for my jeans, I found these and two other pairs on a clearance rack at Walmart for $7. Just talking about jeans specifically, I can wear anywhere from a size 14 to a size 18. These are a size 15 and super comfy!
My sandals I also purchased from Walmart and I wore for my Senior prom. They cost me $6 because I bought them on sale!
This purse I’m sporting is a Nine West bag that I purchased from Goodwill for $4. I love this purse so, so much! I’m always using it, because it’s so super roomy and it’s honestly just so cute.
The necklace I also purchased from 599fashion, but it came with a shirt that I ordered that’s no longer in stock.
So, in total, this outfit cost me a whopping $23.99!
Talk about super affordable!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you see yourself wearing something like this?
