OMG! $4 Full Coverage Foundation
Foundation can be a product that either makes or breaks your look. If you have oily or acne prone skin and you need some full coverage work done on your skin, it can be hard to find a foundation that is full coverage, doesn’t make you look cakey, and is affordable.
If you’ve ever taken a trip to the drugstore, you’ve probably walked past the Rimmel London display. However, as a makeup artist and blogger, I do have to say that Rimmel is a brand that everyone knows about, but no many people talk about.
I realy don’t understand why that’s the case, because they’re super affordable and have some really great products.
In case you want to purchase this beauty for yourself, you can click here and make you order off of Ulta.
Now, before you freak out, I know. On Ulta’s site, the foundation costs more than $4. I’ve noticed that with some of the products Ulta offers in their drugstore line, that they are more expensive than if you were to go purchase them at Rite Aid or CVS. I know at Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid, the Rimmel London Stay Matte foundation costs $4.10.
Like with all beauty products out there, there are pros and cons to each item. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation:
- Full coverage
- Buildable coverage
- Satin finish
- 12-16 hour wear (as long as you don’t touch your face)
- Large range of color choices avaliable, especially for a drugstore line
- It’s not lightweight
- If you don’t apply the foundation correctly, it’s very easy to look cakey
If I’m looking for a lighter coverage, I’ll apply this foundation with a stippling brush or a beauty blender. If I’m looking for full on full coverage, I use a beauty blender and apply several layers. You can also use a silicone sponge, if you have one!
My favorite compination to use with this foundation is the whole Stay Matte line. I use:
- Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer
- Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundaiton
- Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
You can get all three of these products for under $10 in total. The primer lasts me around 3-4 months. I go through the foundation a lot faster, because I blend it around my neck and onto my neck. I’ve only had to purchase one powder and I’ve been using that for 8 months!
This is one of my go-to foundations, espeiclaly if I’m having a breakout and I want something to coverup my acne. If you do purchase this foundation for yourself, make sure you spalsh your face with some cold water before applying. This will close up your pores and you won’t have to worry about all the extra foundation + oil getting into your pores and causing a breakout.
Have you ever tried this foundation? I would love to hear what you have to say!
