Before we get super deep into this post, I have a YouTube unboxing video if you hate reading!
Welcome back, love bugs! The Sephora Play! box is honestly my favorite subscription box. I hate Ipsy and I hate Birchbox equally; with Ipsy, I received SO many lotions. Yes, I did review my boxes, but nothing ever changed. With Birchbox, the first box I EVER received came with a completely shattered eyeshadow. The eyeshadow was so shattered, the powder had come out of the package and had gotten into my other products. Basically, my whole box was ruined. I contacted customer service and all they did was give me $5 to go spend in the Birchbox store. It took me two weeks to even get anyone to contact me back! I ended up throwing the whole box away, because all of my products were ruined.
Anyway. . .
Sephora Play has never given me any problems like that. None of my products have ever been broken and there’s always one item in the bag that makes me jump for joy. This month, I was very happy with what I received. I’m not super in love with the perfume sample, but that’s okay!
My box was different than a lot of other people’s boxes. I had two different items in my box that aren’t even listed on the February Sephora Play list. Which, I think is weird.
The Tom Ford Neroli Portofino perfume. In other boxes, and on the Sephora site, it says that the box had the Marc Jacobs Devine Decadence perfume.
I also received the Bite Beauty Multistick, which I actually really love! The shade I received is a gorgeous lip color, although I don’t see myself using it for blush. On the Sephora Play site, it says that other people got the Nars Velvet Lip Glide in their box; I do have to admit, I’m disappointed. I’ve always to try a lip product from Nars. I’m sad I didn’t get it in my box this month, but who knows what next month will bring?
I thought it was really cool that I got a Clinique product in my bag. I do feel like this bag had a lot of big name brands, which I thought was really cool. I definitely feel like this bag made up for last month’s bag. You can go check out this pep-start moisturizer here!
I haven’t tried out this eye cream, but I was happy that I got it in my box because I know eye creams are super expensive. I use them sparringly, so I know that it’s going to last me a couple months.
The Too Faced Lip Injection Gloss is a product that I’ve wanted to try forever and was seriously getting ready to buy! It does make my lips tingles, but it doesn’t hurt. I do notice that it makes the thinner parts of my lips look fuller. It isn’t super sticky either, like cheap lip glosses are. I received the shade Milkshake.
Lastly, I got this Sephora LastCraft Mascara in my bag. If you have the chance, check out this mascara. The applicator is unique; it’s flat, unlike the typical rounded mascara brushes. It really made my lashes look long and full, which I thought was pretty impressive.
You get all of these super cool products, six items, in your bag for $10 a month. This month’s bag was super cute; it was satin!
