DIY Ripped Boyfriend Jeans: Plus Size Ripped Jeans Tutorial
Ripped jeans are so hard to find, especially when you’re plus sized. I’m a size 18 and finding a pair of jeans is just as difficult as finding the solution to world peace- you feel me? So, I’m probably more likely at finding the lost city of Atlantis than finding a pair of affordable plus size distressed jeans. And as a student, a pair of jeans that costs $30+ more isn’t affordable. But don’t worry, girl! I got you 😍
Do you hate reading? Don’t worry! I also have a YouTube video that shows you how I created this jeans. Click here to watch (or just click on the video below).

You’re going to want to buy yourself some jeans! If you already have a pair that you want to distress, perfect. You’re going to want to tear some pieces of tape off and stick them on your jeans; use the pieces of tape to mark where you want to distress your jeans.
Pinch a section of jeans in between two fingers and grab your scissors. Cut this piece of pinched fabric to desired length of distress; the longer you make the cut in the fabric, the longer your distress is going to be.
Grab your tweezers! There are going to be tiny little pieces of thread that are sticking up from where you just cut your jeans. Gently pull on these threads to add more distress to your jeans. These threads will give your jeans a frayed apperance, which is all the rage right now.
Technically, you can be done after this. But, if you want to add some more distress. . .
Grab your lemon zester and turn your jeans inside out. Make a small cut in the jeans using your scissors, with the jeand inside out. Grab your lemon zester and rub back and forth on the jean, until you achieve your desired distressing!
That’s it! Making your own pair of distressed jeans is super duper easy. If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my channel for more DIYS and beauty hacks!
