A Lesson from a Femtrepreneur

It’s not easy making something with your name in this world, espeically when it seems that there are so many more people out there who want to hurt you rather than help you. Or maybe you just feel like you’re not that special and that the dreams you have wouldn’t really make a difference in the world.

An 18 year-old Emma has started her own small business, creating homemade vegan soaps. While balancing AP classes, homework, clubs, and a social life, Emma is managing to create, sell, and ship out these soaps. And while it may not sound like it’s anything to be too excited about, Emma’s soaps are making a difference.

“I wanted some creative vegan soaps, and I couldn’t find them!” she explained, hinting at the hours of research she had done on the market. Off on a mission of her own, she began to create a product with a cause that is close to her heart: cruelty-free products.

And while her passion for her craft was very noticable, she did have a few wise words to give to all the women out there who are searching to believe in themselves.

“Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. Because baby, you can! People who don’t believe in you are not worth your time. Keep in touch with them though, as nothing feels better than seeing them want in on your success.”

Wise words from a  Senior, am I right? It’s wise words we’ve probably all heard once or twice in our life times. No matter what your dream is, always know that there is a community of people out there who will support you.

Go get ’em, girl.
